Our Principals

The practice has a rich heritage dating back to 1947, founded by Oliver N Wheeler, with an office in Donegall Square South. In the 1960s the practice relocated to Agnes Street when John Whittaker joined as a partner and the practice become Wheeler & Whittaker Chartered Architects.

The practice relocated once again to the current office in 1968, and 4 years later founding partner Oliver N Wheller retired leaving the practice to change its name to JW Whittaker Chartered Architects.

In 1986 John Whittaker was joined by William and Kenneth Watt creating the practice Whittaker and Watt Architects which now develops under the leadership of directors Jason Bosket and Ashley Lamont following the retirement of William and Kenneth in 2017 and 2022 respectively.

All architectural projects we undertake are meticulously overseen and given creative input by one of the principals and we have an excellent team that thrives in a culture of pushing the boundaries of design in response to every brief.
