The interior design of this grocery shop, located on the ground floor of a residential building, reflects a modern and distinctive approach that aligns with the community’s needs and lifestyle. The primary focus of the design was to highlight the butchery counter, making it a prominent feature within the space. A key element in achieving this is the feature ceiling, crafted from slatted felt in various shades of grey. This ceiling not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the store but also serves a functional purpose, guiding customers through the shop while creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The use of slatted felt gives the space a contemporary, sophisticated look, while its subtle tonal variation adds visual interest without overwhelming the space.

The off-sales area is another significant part of the design, emphasising both style and functionality. This section utilises the same slatted felt ceiling to maintain visual consistency throughout the store. Brass metal shelving adds a touch of luxury and contrast to the more organic elements, while the warm tones of wood further enhance the inviting, community-focused vibe. The balance of materials like wood, metal, and felt creates a harmonious, modern space that resonates with the local clientele. The overall design not only caters to the practical needs of a grocery store but also elevates the shopping experience, offering a stylish and thoughtful environment for the community it serves.
